I'm Graham Barr, founder of Rugby Web Design Limited and a Webflow Premium Partner.

Why I started Rugby Web Design
I started Rugby Web Design because I enjoy solving problems creatively and wanted to use those skills to make a meaningful difference to small businesses.
Too many growing businesses find themselves caught between DIY website builders that rarely deliver the right results and larger agencies that can feel beyond their budget.
I've been there myself. I understand what it's like to run a business, manage costs carefully and want every pound invested to make a difference.
Most of my clients are busy business owners who value honest advice, practical problem-solving and websites that feel considered rather than cobbled together.

How I got here
My career has always centred around design, communication and helping businesses present themselves professionally.
I began in the artwork department of a print and publishing company, where I developed a solid grounding in layout, typography and visual communication while studying at Berkshire College of Art & Design.
When the company closed in 1990, I moved into the licensed trade. Alongside running hospitality businesses, I continued creating promotional material, chalkboard artwork and signage for local pubs and restaurants.
It was during this time that I discovered the potential of websites as a business tool. After building one for my own pub and restaurant, other businesses began asking me to create websites for them, gradually leading me in a new direction.
In 2009, I stepped away from the licensed trade to focus on web design full-time. Today, Rugby Web Design has been operating successfully for well over a decade, helping businesses across the UK create websites that are clearer, more professional and more effective.
A little about me
Although my wife insists I'm addicted to technology, at heart I'm a bit of a traditionalist with a soft spot for real ale and the golden age of steam railways.
Music has also played a big part in my life. For many years I ran a DJ and presenter business, performed at hundreds of weddings and events, and played guitar and bass in several live bands. My gigging days are now behind me, but I still enjoy picking up a guitar whenever I get the chance.
